General Terms and Conditions for Participation in the Skiten Family Summer Camp
1. General Information
1.1. The client declares having read and accepted these general terms and conditions in their entirety before paying the deposit to register their child.
1.2. The parent or legal guardian also agrees to read the Welcome Pack provided by Skiten Family SRL before the child’s arrival.
1.3. Skiten Family SRL, whose registered office is located at Rue de Rhisnes 45, 5080 Emines, Belgium, organizes the stays described in the transmitted documents and ensures their proper conduct in compliance with applicable regulations.
2. Camp Rules
2.1. Mobile Phones

The use of mobile phones is prohibited during the camp to foster participants' immersion.

Children attending for two weeks may use their phones only at the mid-point of the camp during a supervised period.
2.2. Prohibited Substances

The consumption of cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, alcohol, or illegal substances is strictly forbidden.

Violations will result in immediate expulsion from the camp.
2.3. Behavior

Each participant agrees to actively participate in activities, respect the instructors (mono’s) and fellow participants, and exhibit positive and motivated behavior.

Failure to comply with these rules may result in disciplinary action, including immediate expulsion for serious offenses (bullying, violence, harassment, dangerous behavior).
2.4. Expulsion of a Participant

If a child is expelled, parents agree to arrange their return within a maximum of 24 hours after notification, at their own expense.
3. Payment
3.1. The reservation is confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of €300 per week of attendance.
3.2. The remaining balance must be paid no later than two months before the camp begins.
3.3. Cancellation Policy

The deposit is non-refundable, except in cases of recognized force majeure (e.g., camp cancellation by the organizer).

For cancellations made less than 15 days before the start of the camp, no refund will be issued.
3.4. Any camp session that has begun is fully payable. No refund will be granted in case of interruption of the stay for medical, familial, or disciplinary reasons.
4. Insurance
4.1. Participants must be covered by accident and liability insurance.
4.2. For children residing abroad, health and accident insurance in Belgium is mandatory.
4.3. Skiten Family SRL accepts no responsibility in case of:

Accidents occurring during the camp.

Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
5. Health and Medical Authorization
5.1. Parents or legal guardians must inform Skiten of any specific medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions before the start of the camp.
5.2. Any necessary medication must be provided with clear medical prescriptions and instructions.
5.3. In case of a medical emergency:

If parents cannot be contacted despite multiple attempts, Skiten is authorized to take the necessary decisions, including authorizing medical intervention recommended by a doctor.
5.4. Skiten is authorized to administer minor treatments (e.g., paracetamol) if needed unless otherwise stated in writing before the camp begins.
6. Data Protection
6.1. In accordance with the GDPR, Skiten collects personal data necessary for managing registrations and organizing the stay. These data are processed securely and confidentially.
6.2. Data may be shared with service providers or authorities (such as SPF Interior) to meet legal or organizational requirements.
6.3. Data will be retained for a maximum of 8 years after the end of the camp unless otherwise requested.
6.4. Participants (or their legal representatives) have the right to access, correct, delete, or oppose their data, which can be exercised by email at info@skitenfamily.com.
6.5. Data will only be used for promotional purposes with explicit consent.
7. Dispute Resolution
7.1. In case of a dispute, mediation will be proposed before any judicial proceedings.
7.2. Failing an amicable resolution, only the Courts of the Namur judicial district will have jurisdiction.
8. Use of Photos and Media
8.1. By accepting these terms and conditions, parents or legal guardians authorize Skiten to use photos and videos taken during the camp for promotional purposes (website, brochures, social media).
8.2. If you do not wish for your child’s image to be used, please inform us via email before the start of the camp at info@skitenfamily.com.
9. Camp Organization and Activities
Activities may be modified due to weather conditions or other unforeseen constraints, without financial compensation.
